GNU Free Spirit Snowboard 2025

Float, Slash, and Charge with Unmatched Style

The GNU Free Spirit is a hard-charging, deep-day specialist built for riders who live for surfy lines, bottomless turns, and high-speed carves. Designed in collaboration with snowboarding icon Jamie Anderson, with stunning artwork by @sarahkingart, this tapered volume-shifted board delivers insane float and precision control in a compact, maneuverable shape.

With Directional C3 Camber, the Free Spirit is powerful and responsive, ripping the mountain with confidence while still staying nimble in tight terrain. The wide waist and aggressive sidecut let you lay deep carves without toe drag, while Magne-Traction® edges ensure you stay locked in on hardpack. Built with GNU’s G Lite 3 core and a sintered base, this board is lightweight, sustainably crafted, and fast as hell.

About GNU

Handmade near Canada (in the USA) since 1977, GNU Snowboards has always done things differently—because snowboarding should be fun, creative, and a little weird. Together with their sister company Lib Tech, they pioneered rockered snowboard profiles with Banana Technology, revolutionizing the sport with a more playful, floaty, and forgiving ride. They also introduced Magne-Traction® serrated edges for unreal grip and continue to push boundaries with progressive shapes, experimental tech, and sustainable materials. Every GNU board is built by real snowboarders, keeping the brand’s rebellious spirit alive in every turn, slash, and send.
